I booked a room with an exceptionally comfortable bed, climate control, an LCD TV, and coffee/tea making equipment. The bathroom was clean, with bathtubs. The location was marvellous, steps away from a house museum.

The staff was at least trying to help. The location is good. Genova is not an exiting or beautiful city as a tourist in the first place (I guess it has its vibrant scene for inhabitants and connaisseurs). Everything historic can be visited from there in a two hour round walk.
The hotel is absolutely ridiculous... It is clean and alright, nothing tragic. But the sum of things really make you wonder how the people can stay in business, as they are not really running the hotel professionally. Maybe the whole staff is new. At least they are friendly. - The door from the room to the bathroom would not close completely, there was a gap always open. - No toilet paper on arrival. - When we exited the Hotel, a huge piece of the metal frame of the door came off. It was a puzzle where from it actually came, as the door still shut. - The AC needed to be turned on by the staff themselves, was manually deactivated. - A very "special" scene illustrating their "friendly incompetence": I wanted to get a bowl of Muesli/Cereals for Breakfast, but they did not put any milk next to it. So I asked if they can do so. The lady said: bring me the bowl, I fill it up. And she did, to the brim! I said "but now it is full, there is no space for the Muesli." She then needed to consult with her co-worker. After a minute she figured out what the problem was, took the bowl, emptied it, told me to get the muesli first and then fill it up. Well, dah... would be easier if they just place the milk there in the first place...

Very good location. Clean room. Good value for money. Great croissants for breakfast. People in the next table complaining, I don't think they were comparing what they were getting to what they were paying. Very nice seafood restaurant next door.
Air-conditioning didn't seem to work. I went to reception who then 'turned it on' but it just seemed to blow out uncooled air. Not the best at 34 degrees!
